The last two weeks for me have been crazy fun. My birthday is on July 9th and The Bahamas Independence Day is on July 10th so let’s just say it has been a nonstop celebration!
Happy Independence Day Bahamas!
According to https://www.bahamas.gov.bs/, On July 10th, 1973, after 300 years of being a colony, The Bahamas made the peaceful transition to nationhood by becoming an Independent Nation. Since the attainment of Independence in 1973, July 10th has been observed as a National Holiday across the archipelago.
This year has truly been good to me despite the setbacks from the pandemic. I am thankful and blessed for all the good wishes and opportunities that were presented to me thus far and I am looking forward to seeing what the rest of the year has in store for me.
On July 10th, I had a pool party not only for my birthday but also for our Independence day. I love my country and am so happy that my birthday falls one day before the Bahamas Independence. Check out some of the photos below from my birthday weekend.
The Day After
The day after the pool party, my family and I went out in our boat to go fishing and to also enjoy a ride out on the waters. The most marvelous thing happened when we got about 7 miles out. A pod of dolphins came close enough to the boat to wish us a Happy Birthday! It was truly a sight to see. I posted the video below (also I believe dolphins love the melodic voice of Ed Sheeran)
Next year my birthday will be bigger and better, I can promise you that. Thank you to Sun, Sand, and Swim for hooking me up with my birthday looks! Their selection is amazing and I love the fact that they carry all sizes (small- XXL). If you are ever in Freeport, make sure to hit up Sun, Sand, and Swim located in Port Lucaya Marketplace for all your summer needs.
