Summer Wine n’ Vibe took place on Saturday August 13th at The new Brass Helmet Restaurant located at the back of Unexso. The theme I chose was “Flamingo Paradise” as I wanted my guests to really feel the summer vibes. Instead of a formal sit down wine tasting this one was more social with the dress code being summer chic. Dj Future entertained as guests started trickling in shortly after 8pm. I was so pleased with the turnout and glad everyone had fun! Here’s a listing of all the summer wines and food pairings for the event.

Private Dancer Red Blend: A dry red wine that’s fruity with flavorful notes of berry, spices and a light touch of wood. This versatile wine pairs well with tomato-based pasta dishes, BBQ Ribs, roasted lamb, burgers and spicy dishes.
Mionetto Brut Prosecco Sparkling Wine: A dry but richly fruity Prosecco you can be sure to always get fresh, crisp bubbly in every bottle. Aromas filled with honey, apples, and white peach finishes with refreshing well-balanced acidity and lively mouthfeel. This prosecco is also very versatile, pairing well with spicy curries, oysters, crudités, savory pies with vegetables, smoked cheeses, pasta stuffed with mushrooms, truffle risotto and fresh, rich salads . Prosecco is also a favorite pick for the quintessential brunch drink, the mimosa.
Banrock Station Pink Moscato: displays fresh, floral aromatic notes with a touch of sherbet and musk. The natural fruit sweetness is balanced with the fresh acid finish and the gentle spritz gives the wine a refreshing touch. This gorgeous pink wine is perfect for summer – it’s lightly sweet & very refreshing! Pink Moscato pairs perfectly with vanilla bean, fresh berry tart, King crab, glazed ham, lemon and rosemary chicken, spicy flank steak, walnut and goat cheese salad, brie and tomato paninis, spicy shrimp angel hair pasta, and pepperoni pizza with pepper flake.
